Normalising Caring Connection for Men

What happens when men have a safe place to talk? Care flourishes.

Our 2025 annual survey of men at Tables suggests that regular, intentional conversations in a trusted place lead to men:

  • feeling heard,
  • building empathy,
  • improving coping skills and mental health, and
  • strengthening families and communities.

Having peer support and a safe place to talk offer protective factors for men’s wellbeing against loneliness, unhealthy coping behaviours and suicide.

Exposure to diverse backgrounds and experiences improves empathy and strengthens community.
