This research project was funded by Resilience NSW and involved starting Men’s Tables in 12 communities in designated LGAs that had been affected by the bushfires in the summer of 2019-2020.

The report presents our findings following surveys and in-depth qualitative interviews with the men involved, to show the impact of peer to peer support in regional areas and the subsequent ripple effect into communities.

As natural disasters have continued to occur in the time since the bushfires and the release of this report, the findings offer a valuable contribution to the steps required for recovery and resilience building in affected communities.
