Last year, members of MT7 Hills District participated in a local Community Connect day run by Rotary which we wrote about here.
The first event was run to combat the isolation everyone felt from the pandemic, but it was so successful they have decided to make it an annual event, with the mission to connect residents with community groups and charities by showcasing what they do and how people can get involved.
It’s a great opportunity for people who are new to the area, recently retired, or now on their own and looking for a community or social group to join, to find out what is available to help them connect into their local community.
MT7 once again manned a stall on the day, to introduce locals to The Men’s Table and how it works. They recorded a series of videos to share how the day went which you can watch below.
André Alphonso summed up the day: “I am sure you will get some people showing up for Entrees. We also have one person wanting to join MT7 specifically. We have been asked to speak at Lions… and to collaborate with a couple of other community groups. We had a great day.”
Want to have a chat or ask a question before you register for an entree? We’d love to hear from you. Please give us a call or fill out this form and a man who sits at a Table will get back to you.
